You hate me with a smile on my face?
Wha-…no.
It was an example. I happened to like your smile actually.
On the rare occasion it happens.
Oh really?
Do you really have to ask twice, Michael~?
I like smiling sometimes.

Only on occasion — but if you like it so much, Lucifer…you only needed say so.

I don’t understand how that in any way relates to what I’m talking about. It is not possible for you to be sugary, Lucifer, why would you even say something like that?It was an incredibly sophisticated play on words, Michael.
It was not sophisticated in the slightest you sounded like Gabriel
And you sound like Raphael.
No. I was born first therefore if anyone is sounding like anyone — it’s that Raphael sounds like me.
Whatever helps you sleep at night, First-born.
I don’t sleep, Lucifer.
But if I did, I would sleep most comfortably, I’m sure, thank you.
I keep forgetting you’re not intimate with sarcasm. Shame really.
Sarcasm?
Try saying I hate you with a smile on your face. That’s sarcasm, in essence.

When Lucifer went up to his brother and asked him to stand by his side, Michael couldn’t even begin to describe the type of pain he was feeling, couldn’t mask the hurt that twisted on his face and just stared.
His jaw dropped and fists clenched and before Michael knew it, he was spitting insults out at his brother instead of trying to talk to him rationally.
At that moment, they both knew how damaged their relationship was.
